Millwall set to sign Bolton Wanderers forward

Millwall are set to sign Bolton Wanderers forward Stephen Dobbie on loan for the rest of the season, according to a report.

Dobbie, 33, is on a one-year contract at Bolton that expires at the end of the season and so if the move to Millwall goes through, he may have made his last appearance for the club.

Bolton are currently sitting bottom of the Championship table, 12 points from safety, and look to be all but relegated with only a handful of games to go.

Having recently been taken over by new owners, the club may now be looking to rebuild for next season and move some players on.  One of these players could be Dobbie, who has scored three goals in 22 appearances for Bolton this season.

Millwall are looking to get promoted and are currently fifth in League One, six points away from the automatic promotion places.

With the signing of Dobbie, Millwall will be getting a player who has been promoted twice before.  The forward won promotion to the Premier League with both Blackpool and Crystal Palace.
