Hull City to scrap season tickets from next season

Premier League hopefuls Hull City will scrap season tickets and implement a new membership system from next season according to the Hull Daily Mail.

The Tigers are replacing annual season tickets with monthly membership cards which will see fans pay for match tickets via a monthly direct debit system.

The club say that the move will save the majority of their fans as much as £280 a season. Seating will be segmented into five zones with a monthly membership for Zone 1 seats costing £21 per month and £51 for the most expensive Zone 5 seating. An area of The KC Stadium will also be allocated for single matchday tickets for fans who cannot afford or commit to memberships or are unable to attend many fixtures.

If promoted the new membership scheme will result in the club being one of the most affordable in the Premier League while a new reward scheme is also set to be launched allowing fans to collect loyalty points for ticket and membership purchases which can later be used on a number of supporter incentives which will be released by the club throughout the season.

While the ticketing changes are set to bring a huge benefit to most supporters, some supporters are not so pleased by the news with a number of supporters being made to relocate to other seats in the stadium from next season due to the new zone categorisation.
