Pringle wants more goals for Ipswich Town

Ipswich Town’s on loan Fulham midfielder Ben Pringle insists that he hopes to score more goals for The Tractor Boys after opening his account with the winning goal in the weekend’s 1-0 victory at Huddersfield Town according to the East Anglian Daily Times.

The 26 year old struck his winning goal early in the match at The John Smith’s Stadium and the home side were unable to find a response as Ipswich Town recorded a first win in four matches to keep their Play Off hopes alive.

After the match, Pringle admitted that he is enjoying his football with The Tractor Boys but would like to become a more regular goalscorer for his temporary employers.

“I’ve said before that I can bring that to the team, which I should be doing more of really, getting in the box and making as much as I can,” Pringle told the East Anglian Daily Times.

“It was a good pass from Daryl Murphy and I just had to hit the target. Luckily it went in.”

“There are 13 games left so I will try and get in there and score a few more.”

“The gaffer said before the game we needed to break the losing run of the last three games and we needed to get a win or a draw so to get the win while keeping a clean sheet was really good,” the player added.

“I’ve really enjoyed being here so far. It’s the perfect place to come and concentrate completely on football which is what I need.”

“Every footballer will tell you that you want to enjoy your football as well as playing as many games as you can. Enjoying it is a bonus, and I am so far.”

Ipswich Town’s win in West Yorkshire ended a worrying run of three straight defeats although Mick McCarthy’s side remain four points behind the Play Off places.
