It was only revealed that Ray Trew stepped down as Chairman at Meadow Lane earlier today, yet rumours of a Nottinghamshire-based business man taking over Notts County are already flying around.
Since the Magpies were put up for sale, a Notts County fan named Chris Hallam tweeted local business owner Alan Hardy, suggesting he take over the club.

Hardy, the CEO of a commercial interior design and fit-out group, has ignited rumours after responding to the fan via Twitter with a simple, “I hear you.”

He also retweeted another fan who was in agreement with Hallam which furthers suspicions.
@Bigalanh5 @ChrisHallam1862 I second this. Every tweet I read re: football and community I'm nodding along. Let's revive the club we love

Hardy’s business was named in the ‘Sunday Time’s best Company to work for in 2016’ just last night which portrays him in a very good light amongst current speculations.
A self-confessed sports fanatic, could these rumours surface as true in the near future? We will have to wait and see…
