Brentford boss to enter loan market

Brentford Manager Dean Smith will consider a move into the loan market after seeing his side fall to a 3-1 home defeat to Derby County yesterday according to Get West London.

The Bees led the out of form Rams following an Alan Judge early second half strike but suffered a late collapse as goals from Jeff Hendrick, Cyrus Chrstie and Chris Martin gave Derby County their first win in eight matches.

Brentford have now fell to 14th position in the Championship table following a run of just one win in their last nine matches in all competitions and Manager Dean Smith is understood to be considering a move into the loan market to bolster his squad and help stop the rot at Griffin Park.

The West London club lost key players James Tarkowski, Toumani Diagouraga and Jota during the January transfer window and have failed to bring in suitable replacements since their departures leaving The Bees short of quality in certain areas of the squad.

The Bees have lost their last three matches, scoring once and conceding ten goals and although the club’s loan targets are unknown it is likely that Manager Dean Smith will look to boost both the club’s defensive and attacking options as Brentford aim for a solid end to the season.
