Fans have feet on the ground says PNE boss

Preston North End Manager Simon Grayson believes that the club’s fans still have their feet on the ground despite a recent good run of form according to the Lancashire Evening Post.

The Lilywhites have lost just once in their last eight league matches and their good run of form has pushed the club into the top half of the Championship table.

Despite the club now seemingly familiar with their new Championship surroundings after last season’s promotion from League 1 Manager Simon Grayson feels that the recent results will not raise the fans’ expectancy at Deepdale.

“I don’t think expectation levels have been raised,” Grayson told the Lancashire Evening Post.

“I think the fans are realistic enough to know what we are doing. We are doing well at the moment.”

“Are we above where we should be? Probably.”

“But ultimately let’s just see where this good run takes us.”

“Who knows where we will finish this season?”

“It’s about making sure that every time the players put on that shirt, they give everything that is required for this football club.”

“If you do that most of the time, you have got a great chance of getting three points.”

Preston North End’s improved form will be challenged tomorrow when they host a Sheffield Wednesday side who could yet gatecrash the automatic promotion places.
