Colchester United to keep on fighting

Colchester United Manager Kevin Keen has promised that his side will keep on fighting as they look to escape relegation to League 2 according to the East Anglian Daily Times.

The U’s have been in dreadful form of late after failing to win any of their last 16 league matches and League 1 survival looks a tall order with the club currently rooted to the bottom of the table 8 points adrift of safety.

Despite the club’s disastrous season Manager Kevin Keen has stated that his side will continue to fight bravely against relegation.

“I can do no more than say that we will keep working hard, and I will keep trying to find solutions,” Keen told the East Anglian Daily Times.

“We are not going to give up.”

“The boys will keep fighting and I don’t think you’ll ever see any lack of effort from the team.”

Colchester United suffered a 4-1 home hammering by improving Swindon Town on Saturday and the Essex club have now not won a League 1 fixture since recording a 2-1 success over Port Vale in mid October.

The U’s welcome fellow strugglers Chesterfield to The Weston Homes Community Stadium this evening in a fixture which Keen’s side simply must not lose if they are to mount a fight to remain in the division.
