Frustrated fans target Wolves hierarchy

Wolverhampton Wanderers supporters vented their frustration towards Chief Executive Jez Moxey and Owner Steve Morgan during Saturday’s 2-1 home defeat to Preston North End according to the Express and Star.

Saturday’s result leaves Wolverhampton Wanderers without a win in their last 5 matches and fans aimed criticism at Chief Executive Jez Moxey while also making their feelings known about want-away Owner Steve Morgan.

Wolves Manager Kenny Jackett’s tactics also came in for criticism with fans chanting ‘you don’t know what you’re doing’ when Tommy Rowe was introduced for George Saville with the club desperate to scrap a late equaliser.

The full time whistle was met by widespread boos of disapproval as the players left the field at Molineux on Saturday. With many supporters hoping for Wolves to mount a Play Off challenge this season, the club have fallen well short of expectation with their season already looking to be over as Kenny Jackett’s side sit 11 points adrift of the Play Off positions in mid table.

The club’s home form has been the most disappointing factor with Wolverhampton Wanderers winning just 4 home league matches all season. All of Wolves’ home victories have been against sides currently sitting in the bottom half of the Championship table, highlighting the club’s struggles against the division’s stronger opposition.

With home matches against the likes of Derby County and Birmingham City coming up the fans will be expecting much better from their side.
