Lardy, Leeds fan promises spectacular stunt on Monday

It all started with a group called ‘Time To Go Massimo’, angered at Cellino’s running of Leeds United, turning their target into an unintentional poster boy.

Talks were that a segment of Leeds United’s fervent support were planning a moment of Monday antagonism towards Massimo Cellino in a move aimed at further showing him the dissatisfaction of fans against their view of his running of the club. News of this planned protest and escalation of action was both scant and largely hearsay. However, some details have emerged that add some detail as to what is being proposed for Elland Road on Monday, a game against Middlesbrough in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

In the above post on the well-established Leeds United forum ‘WACCOE’, user Lardy expands on some points and gives a tantalising look at what may be in store for Massimo under the glare of the Monday Night Lights.

“Good evening chaps

I have something…Spectacular planned for Monday night. I can’t really go into details at this point, although some of you can probably figure some parts of it out but I’d ask you not to discuss this.

For this we’re looking at needing £2,600. Over the course ofthe day I’ve managed to get up to £1,650 and now I’m coming, cap in hand to you fine folk.

All in all, we need 50 people to chip in £20 each.

This is a special, monumental stunt that will be in front of the Sky camera, completely legal and will make everyone very, very happy 🙂

The Complete funds need to be in place by Sunday night and considering the amount I’ve raised today I feel this is completely doable to get over the line, amp up the pressure on Cellino and rattle the absolute fuck out of him.

I know it’s a lot to ask, to put in money without knowing 100% what you’re putting it in for, but I ask you to believe in me for this.

Although this is nothing to do with WACCOE officially, I have given the Admin my personal details, address etc as a matter of trust.

Now, who’d be up for this? Donations to

With the bar set for the amount needed for the protest to be meningful at £2,600, it is obvious that htere is some scale to what is planned. Over on Twitter, Lardy (@ShaunijeW) gave, via  tweet on his personal Twitter feed (below) an update late yesterday as to the amount raised.

Some Leeds fans with similar ‘Cellino Out’ urgings are looking to press the thrust of the protest beyond the immediate environs of Elland Road, by asking others in Leeds to become involved.

With clues as to the manner of the protest thin on the ground, secrecy and surprise being the twin keywords of the day, no one is really sure as to what will actually be happening at Elland Road tomorrow – well beyond the inner war room of the protest organisers that is. However, and linked to the above plea from Twitter user CellinoOut (@CellinoOut), could the following tweet (below) throw any light on the devious and dastardly deeds that have been planned?

As the sense of intrigue builds as to what exactly will go on in front of the Sky Sports cameras in tomorrow’s game against Middlesbrough, the old jibe of ‘how do you keep a fool in suspense’ springs to mind.

It seems that the answer will definitely be revealed Monday.
