Wolves duo sign new long-term contracts

Wolverhampton Wanderers duo Jordan Graham and Kortney Hause have been penned long-term contracts with the club. Highly-rated winger Graham has signed a three-and-a-half year deal, whilst young defender Hause begins a two-and-a-half year deal.

Both are currently out of action through injury, with 20-year-old Graham recently suffering a cruciate knee ligament injury, ruling him out of action for up to a year.

Hause, also 20, is another who has been out through injury but he is closing in on a comeback. The centre back, who can also operate as a left back, spent time out on loan with Gillingham last season to gain more first-team football. Earlier this season he enjoyed a run in the Wolves side under Kenny Jackett, before injury forced him out of action.

Graham has been with the club for over a year and has become a key member of Jackett’s squad. His contract also has the option to extend it by a further two years until 2020. He is currently undergoing rehabilitation on his injury, in the hope of him returning midway through next season.

Ex-Millwall boss Jackett was delighted that both players have extended their stays with the club and feels it is a reward for their progress,

“It is very good news that Kortney and Jordan have signed new contracts,” said Head Coach Kenny Jackett.

“They are outstanding young players who have made good inroads into the first team over the last year or so.

“Although both are out injured at the moment they will go on and have very good Wolves careers, and we are delighted to have secured both of their services for an extended period of time.

“It is good both ways as they have been keen in wanting to commit to us and I am looking forward to myself and the Club working hard with them to continue their progress.”

There is still plenty for Wolves to play for this season. Whilst they are off the play-off picture, they are well clear of being dragged into any relegation trouble. There is the outside chance Graham could return from injury as a Premier League player for Wolves, albeit an unlikely one.
