Former Barnsley and Oldham manager Lee Johnson was appointed to take over struggling Championship side Bristol City, with Robins fans hoping their former midfielder can lead them to second division safety.
So far, Johnson’s appointment has been met with mixed feelings by the City faithful, with many concerned that a manager who has no experience of coaching at The Championship level may not be what’s needed in order to survive The Championship drop.
No offense to Lee Johnson but he's too inexperienced for City when we're involved in a relegation scrap in a league he has never been in.

Not sure appointing Lee Johnson as manager is such a great move. Harking back to a time gone by, perhaps? #BristolCity

However, some consider Johnson’s appointment to be an astute one, the Englishman having great relations with The Robins due to spending six years at the club as a player, making 174 appearances and scoring 11 goals.
@alidurdenBBC what's done is done. No doubt he's BCFC through and through. I'm personally 100% behind him. Good luck Lee.

One fan feels that Johnson is being judged far too hastily, as he has yet to have taken the helm pitch-side.
So many people doubting Lee Johnson before he's even started. Give him a chance! #BristolCity #BCFC #COYR

BBC journalist Brendon Mitchell made an interesting comparison between Johnson and high-flying Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe.
Young and inexperienced maybe, but likeable, intelligent, articulate and determined too. Why can't Lee Johnson be #BristolCity's Eddie Howe?

Johnson spent the first part of the season as boss of League One side Barnsley. After a bright start, Barnsley’s season began to unravel, with eight straight defeats condemning The Tykes to the League One relegation zone. However, a surging run of form saw Johnson’s side win six straight games before the Englishman left his post as manager at the club. Bristol City fans will be hoping that Johnson’s very recent experience of turning the fortunes of a team destined for the drop around can be replicated at Ashton Gate in the coming months.
