Derby County offer striker to Turkish clubs

Derby County have been offering striker Darren Bent to several Turkish clubs as they look to reduce the clubs wage bill after new signings, according to The Sun.

Bent has not even made the squad for Derby’s last three games and looks set to leave the club sooner rather than later.  Derby manager Paul Clement signed two new forwards during the January transfer window.

Derby initially signed Bent on loan last season and the forward did enough to earn a permanent move to Derby from Premier League side Aston Villa.  However Bent’s form has dwindled this season and he has more often than not failed to find the net.

Forwards Nick Blackman and Abdoul Camara both arrived at Derby this month and this looks to have left Bent with no option but to leave the club if he wants to play games.

One of the main reasons that Derby are looking to sell Bent after the player lost his place in the side is his wages.  The striker is one of the top earners at the club and is not justifying his wage.
