Birmingham considering move for striker

Birmingham could be set to sign Montell Moore after he was released by Brentford, according to Birmingham Mail.

The 20-year old has today had his contract mutually terminated and it means he is now on the lookout for a new club.

The Blues are looking to give him a way back into the game almost immediately, with the youngster having impressed Birmingham officials when they have previously seen him in action and they are now ready to make a move for him.

The bonus of the move is that he is now available for absolutely nothing, which means that a deal doesn’t have to be rushed – there is no need to bring him in before today’s deadline and they could seal a move for him as long as the free transfer window remains open.

However, a deal could be completed later today if the club decides they want him in action straight away.

Moore made just one appearance during his time at Brentford and it came in the League Cup against Dagenham and Redbridge, a match which he actually scored in. He then went out on loan to FC Midtjylland and after coming back to England once his loan spell had finished, he has been told he is no longer needed by the club.

Brentford’s loss though could prove to be Birmingham’s gain if they manage to sign the forward.
