Middlesbrough and Burnley set to battle it out for Premier League midfielder

Championship clubs Middlesbrough and Burnley are both keen on bringing in Norwich City midfielder Graham Dorrans with the 28 year-old not starting regularly for the Canaries.

Both sides were also in the hunt for Tottenham youngster Alex Pritchard, but after missing out on the youngster have turned their attentions to the Scottish international Dorrans.

Dorrans started his career with Scottish outfit Livingston in 2005 and played 77 games for the Championship side before moving to England to play for West Brom.

Joining for a fee of £200,000 in the January transfer window of 2008, Dorrans would stay at the Hawthorns for seven years and play in over 150 games for the Baggies.

A valuable asset to the club, offers of £4 million and £5 million were rejected from West Ham for his services during the 2010-11 season.

The Glasgow-born playmaker joined Norwich on loan at the end of the 2014-15 season and, after helping the club win promotion to the Premier League, had the deal made permanent in the summer.
