Tottenham facing competition from Monaco over Fulham starlet

As has been reported through the January transfer window, Fulham’s Moussa Dembele is a wanted man with several clubs vying for his signature in the summer when he becomes a free agent.

It now appears to be a two-horse race for the 19 year-old with Tottenham and Monaco both set to offer lucrative pre-contracts to secure the young striker.

Dembele has been at Fulham since 2012 and has impressed this season in the Championship and is the Cottagers second top scorer – only behind Ross McCormack.

The France U20 international has failed to sign a new deal at Craven Cottage and, according to the Mirror, the player favours a move back to his home country over a move to North London to play for Tottenham.

Formerly on the books at French giants Paris Saint-Germain, if Dembele was to join Monaco he’d be guaranteed European football with the Red and Whites currently sitting 2nd in Ligue 1.

With Fulham currently sitting just four points above the relegation zone, Cottagers boss Slavisa Jokanovic will be hoping Dembele’s goals until the end of the season can save them from the drop.
