Leeds United: Premier League forward wants to sign

Bournemouth forward Lee Tomlin has expressed his desire to sign for Leeds United, according to a report by The Mirror.

Tomlin has failed to have much of an impact on Bournemouth’s season in the Premier League so far, and hasn’t made a league appearance since November.  This has led to speculation about where the forward’s future lies.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe recently confirmed that Tomlin will be “disciplined internally” after he made comments on Twitter expressing his discontent about not playing.

Tomlin signed for Bournemouth for a fee of around £3 million in August.  However five months and only ten appearances (most of them off the bench) later, the forward wants to leave the club.

If Tomlin did become available, most Championship clubs would be on alert due to Tomlin’s success in the league with Peterborough United and Middlesbrough.

The forward however has reportedly said that he wants to sign for Leeds United.  Tomlin could provide a welcome boost and spark that could fire Leeds up the Championship table.
