Spanish side Celta Vigo have made a bid for Bristol City target, and Lyon striker, Claudio Beauvue according to talkSPORT.

It was reported earlier this week that Bristol City were targeting the Lyon striker, who has struggled so far with the French club since his move Guingamp in the summer transfer window.

The striker has scored only five goals in 19 games for Lyon so far this season and it is widely presumed in France that he will leave the club this month.

Beauvue could be a good signing, after he scored 17 goals in 36 goals for Guingamp in Ligue 1 last season.  If the striker can rediscover this form, the rumoured £4 million needed to sign him from Lyon would be considered a bargain.

Bristol City were reportedly facing competition from Aston Villa in the race for the striker but now La Liga side Celta Vigo have made a bid.  The offer is understood to be around the £3.8 million mark and it is believed that Beauvue would be open to a move to Spain.
