Wolves have been linked with a move for Ajax captain Nicolai Boilesen, according to The Shropshire Star.
The left back, capped 15 times by Denmark has not played this season due to a contract dispute.
The 23 year old is out of contract this summer and Ajax director of football Marc Overmars has apparently confirmed that Wolves are interested.
Boilesen was tracked by Villa last summer and could be available for around £300,000.
The defender turned down a deal with Ajax last summer and boss Frank De Boer has refused to play him since.
He had set his sights on a move to the Premier League, but Wolves now appear to be the favourites for his signature due to a lack of interest.
The 6ft 1in defender is captain at the Dutch giants and has made 66 appearances for the Amsterdam club.
Ajax are apparently willing to allow him to leave now for a small fee, as opposed to losing him on a free this summer.
Wolves legend John De Wolf questioned the fitness of Boilesen on Twitter.
I think he's a good player, but is he fit enough at the moment? #wolves pic.twitter.com/cDYX9MFeiB
