There are four of five Leeds players who the club have received offers for, reports Adam Pope.

The BBC sports broadcaster reports on Twitter that Steve Evans has said there has been interest in “four of five” other Leeds players, including captain Sol Bamba.

The club are set to sell young star Sam Byram, after accepting a bid in the region of £4m for him from Premier League side Everton.

Evans praised Byram, and says that he will wish him every success if he does move on from Elland Road.

West Yorkshire Sport also reported that Evans believes his Leeds side are three or four players away from properly challenging for promotion from the second tier.

Evans has also insisted that a move for Norwich City striker Kyle Lafferty is not dead in the water.

He has however, played down talk of a move for Middlesbrough striker Kike, who Evans says he likes but isn’t available to sign.

Leeds have just lost their first game in nine matches at Ipswich Town and face a tough test away at play-off chasing Sheffield Wednesday tomorrow.
