Sheffield Wednesday duo pen new contracts

Both Barry Bannan and Atdhe Nuhiu have agreed new deals with the Owls.

Bannan has been with the club since August and after some good performances for the side, Wednesday have decided to offer him a fresh three-and-a-half year contract.

Since his release from Crystal Palace, the 26-year old has established himself as one of the club’s main players.

He has played 22 times for the Owls this season, bagging two goals and Wednesday fans will be more than happy to see that the Scotland international has agreed to stay on at the club.

Nuhiu has also been a key figure for the Hillsborough side this season, making 28 appearances and scoring four goals, as the club’s main striker. He’s been rewarded with a new two-and-a-half year deal, that sees him stay with the club until 2018.

Sheffield Wednesday face Leeds this weekend and both players are expected to feature against a Whites side who are going into the game on the back of a 2-1 loss to Ipswich. The Owls on the other hand enter this game on a three-game winning run.
