Wednesday sign Hunt on permanent deal

Sheffield Wednesday have confirmed the permanent signing of loanee Jack Hunt.

The right back has committed his long term future to the South Yorkshire club, signing a three and a half year contract at Hillsborough.

Hunt signs from Premier League side Crystal Palace for an undisclosed fee.

The 25 year old right back signed for Wednesday on a season long loan last July but has now made his deal permanent.

He has played a huge part for the club this season and has racked up 22 appearances.

Hunt graduated through the Huddersfield Town youth academy, before sealing a move to Palace.

However, Wednesday have now secured him on a permanent deal after a number of loan spells away from Selhurst Park and Hunt can focus on settling properly in South Yorkshire.

His contract at Hillsborough runs until the summer of 2019 and Wednesday will be delighted to have secured the signing of such an integral part of their first team.

The Owls have been superb this season and are chasing a play off place under Carlos Carvahal.

Wednesday are just two points off the play offs after 26 games and currently lie seventh.
