Championship promotion chasers Derby County and Middlesbrough are interested in making a move for Everton duo Darron Gibson and Aiden McGeady according to The Derby Telegraph.
Both players are understood to be desparate for game time ahead of the European Championships in the summer where they will represent The Republic of Ireland. The midfield duo are both currently on the fringes of the Everton first team and have made just 6 appearances between them this season for The Toffees.
The 29 year old winger McGeady has been linked with a move back to Celtic in the last 7 days but that rumour was quashed by Celtic Manager Ronny Deila. McGeady started his career at Celtic Park before a move to Russian club Spartak Moscow. The winger joined current club Everton from the Russian giants for an undisclosed fee in January 2014. McGeady has made 43 appearances for Everton scoring just once for the club.
Central Midfielder Darron Gibson joined Everton from Manchester United for an undisclosed fee. The 28 year old had loan spells at Royal Antwerp and Wolverhampton Wanderers during his time at Old Trafford. Gibson has made 63 appearances for Everton and scored 2 goals.
Everton Manager Roberto Martinez is understood to be willing to let the players go out on loan this month with Sunderland and Aston Villa also interested in signing the duo.
