Steve Evans is hardly the wallflower and is certainly not backwards in coming forwards when giving his ha’pennorth worth on any subject. After today’s 2-0 FA Cup Third Round win against Rotherham United, Evans was once again in particularly verbose form in his post-match interviews.
One thing that has Leeds fans a little worried at the moment is the apparent wealth of young riches that the club has in such players as Lewis Cook, Sam Byram, Alex Mowatt and Charlie Taylor and how they could be being viewed by the circling vultures that are Premier League clubs. There have been rumours of interest in Lewis Cook and Sam Byram, with even Leeds fans having to admit that Byram’s time at Elland Road seems to be shortening with every rising sun.
However, it is Evans’ revelation to Adam Pope (below) that piques the interest regarding the combined total of offers on the table for Leeds United players at this moment.
Evans says there is a combined total of offers worth £30m for #Lufc players at the moment.

With Leeds fans hoping to build a team that challenges and pushes onwards up the table toward the prized promotion play-off places, the news that offers are in for members of the current team is no doubt a worry. Adam Pope mentions on his Twitter feed that Steve Evans is obviously hopeful that those ‘under offer’ do stay at the club and that he hopes that he can keep hold of the said Leeds United players. However, Popey also says that Evans, ” can’t promise there won’t be outgoings.”
For Leeds fans, on the matter of who’s staying and who’s going it will be a nail-biting January transfer window as trepidation sets in as to who is included in the £30m of accumulated offers.
One bright ray of good news from Evans is also provided by Popey when he says, “[Evans] hopes to make a signing next week.”
