Bolton takeover could happen as new bidder emerges

A takeover of Bolton Wanderers could still be on the cards after a new bidder emerged today, according to The Sun journalist Alan Nixon.

It was previously reported that a takeover bid from a group could be on the rocks with a disagreement over future HMRC payments being the problem.  Bolton owner Eddie Davies does not want to be responsible for any new HMRC claims after the sale of the club.

Bolton fans may have new hope about a takeover however, with the news that a new bidder has emerged and is interested in taking over the Championship club.

The identity of the bidder is not yet public knowledge but it is understood that the mystery person is based in London and has experience with the Premier League.

It is also believed that the bidder will not be waiting around for an answer from Davies and is looking to complete any takeover as soon as possible.
