Championship side Reading have just announced that they have signed highly-rated Bosnian teen Seid Behram, according to a report on the getreading website.

The 17-year-old has signed on a three-year contract at Reading but there is a hitch in proceedings as the Mostar-born teenager does not hold an EU passport. This hiccup means that the talented youngster cannot play competitive football and, the only way that he can do so and remain a Royal’s player, is if he is instantly loaned back out.

The youngster, who operates primarily as a left winger has represented his country at U-15 level (11 games, 5 goals) and more recently at U-17 level (8 games, 1 goal). Behram, who had a 10-day trial at Everton in April last year, signs for Reading from Bosnian side FK Zeljeznicar Sarajevo’s U-19 team

Behram, nicknamed the ‘Bosnian Messi’, obviously pleased at signing a contract with reading said, “This is a great day for my family and me. Thanks to everyone who stood by me and supported me in everything. Great days are ahead of me.”
