Nottingham Forest keen on Sunderland winger

Nottingham Forest are keen on signing Sunderland winger Will Buckley, who will be allowed to leave the club on loan, according to The Sun.

New Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce has been getting to grips with the squad and has decided that Buckley can go out on loan for the rest of the season and will not be needed in the fight against the drop.  This news has prompted interest from Nottingham Forest.

Any loan move would not be a new experience for Buckley, who spent time on loan at Championship side Leeds United earlier this season.  The loan was unsuccessful however and Buckley was recalled by Sunderland after making only four appearances for Leeds.

Buckley is no stranger to Championship football, and made nearly 150 appearances in the league during his time with Watford and Brighton & Hove Albion.  The winger joined Sunderland in 2014 but failed to find similar success to that which he enjoyed whilst with Brighton.
