Former Liverpool goalkeeper Brad Jones will quit English football and sign for Dutch side NEC Nijmegen, according to a report by The Sun.

Jones signed for Bradford City in August after being released by Liverpool at the end of the 2014-15 season.  The goalkeeper’s time in League One was brief however, and his contract was terminated in October with Jones having played only three games.

Since then Jones has been without a club but now looks set to sign for NEC on a free transfer.  It is understood that Jones flew to Holland on Saturday in order to discuss a contract with the club, rumoured to be a short-term deal until the end of the season.

NEC curently play in the top division in Holland after being promoted last season.  They have enjoyed a good season so far and at the half-way stage sit in sixth place, 14 points behind leaders Ajax.
