Adam El-Abd leaves Swindon

Central defender Adam El-Abd has finished his loan spell at Swindon Town from Championship side Bristol City, according to reports.

Adam failed to impress at Ashton Gate after signing from Brighton and Hove Albion and only played two league games in their romp of league one last season.

He also played for the Bristol side in their first two JPT games against Wimbledon and Cheltenham.

He was then loaned out by Steve Cotterill to Bury for the remainder of the season, but he returned to the red half of Bristol at the end of the season. Whilst on loan to Bury, his parent club completed their first ever professional double.

He has been at Swindon since the start of the season but has seen his loan deal finish, it is doubtful that the loan deal will be extended due to Liam Moore being returned to his parent club Leicester City. Adam will likely be used as cover until a replacement is brought in.
