Isaac Hayden’s season-long loan at Hull City from Arsenal will be cut short, with the midfielder expected to leave after Hull’s game on Friday, the club have confirmed.
Hayden, 20, has not had as much game time as he would have wanted when joining on-loan from Arsenal in the summer. He has only featured eight times for Hull this season.
Hayden joined on-loan from Arsenal along with striker Chuba Akpom. Akpom has managed to gain plenty of game-time, unlike Hayden, but has struggled to find the net in recent weeks.
However, it is likely that Akpom will remain with the Tigers until the end of the season.
Although Hayden has never made a competitive appearance for Arsenal, he is still highly-rated by Arsene Wegner. The decision to end his loan was a mutual decision by both the Gunners and Hull.
Hayden has represented England at U16, U17, U18, U19 and U20s. There is no doubt he has got potential and it would not be a surprise if other championship come in for him in January if they promise him first-team football.
