Yeovil Town v York City – Match Preview

Yeovil Town host York City at Huish Park on Saturday in a basement battle at the bottom of League 2 looking to end a horrific run of 16 matches without a win.

Glovers’ Caretaker Manager Darren Way has been unable to end the Somerset club’s rotten run so far and has recorded just a handful of draws so far although Monday’s goalless draw with promotion chasing Oxford United represented an excellent result.

Yeovil Town have not won since 19 September and are currently The Football League’s bottom club. On Saturday, they welcome improving York City to Huish Park a club who themselves have ended a winless spell after recording 4 points from their last 2 matches.

Yeovil Town have doubts over midfielders Harry Cornick and Wes Fogden while injury is expected to continue to rule out Kevin Dawson, Omar Sowunmi and Simon Gillett.

York City make the long trip to Somerset without on loan Arsenal full back Stefan O’Connor who has returned to his parent club with injury while attacking trio Michael Coulson, Jake Hyde and Emile Sinclair are all ruled out.

With both clubs frantically fighting for their Football League lives the match promises to be a nail biter which neither club can really afford to lose.
