Today’s game at the City Ground sees 15th placed Notingham Forest entertain 13th placed Leeds United in what is a finely-balanced game between two in-form teams. Hosts Forest are unbeaten in their last five games (WWDDW) and Leeds are unbeaten in their last four (WDWW), two of these wins being impressive victories over Hull City and Wolves.
A win for Forest will see them catapult up the table to 11th place and put them to within a mere two wins of the promotion playoff places. On the other hand, a victory for Leeds would see them climb two places, also to 11th, and the Whites would be only five points from Ipswich (37), who are the team in the last playoff place.
Much has been said about the game itself, a game pitching two similarly achieving teams together and it is safe to say that fans of the Whites are chomping at the bit and hoping that the current improved for that their team is showing will translate through to a first Leeds win over the festive period in six years.
Leeds fans anticipate this afternoon’s game on Twitter:
We have to stop Mendes and Lansbury we do that we go a way to beating Forest today. Byram/Dallas need to double up on Mendes. #lufc

Would like to see Sloth over The next week playing that advanced midfield role. There must be a reason he's played for Denmark #lufc

A nice win for #LUFC would do nicely today, let's use the momentum we've gained recently to gain another 3 points.

It’s all building up nicely for the 4.15 kick-off this afternoon as both teams look for the result that will nudge them closer to the all-important promotion playoff places.
