The pressure is on at Turf Moor as Lancashire club Burnley look for an immediate return the the Premier League.
After being one of the early season favourites for promotion, The Clarets have struggled to keep up with the pace of the top two sides in the Championship and are currently six points off an automatic promotion spot.
Last Saturday’s 4-0 home victory over struggling Charlton Athletic was Burnley’s first victory in sevenBurnley matches but despite their poor run of form Manager Sean Dyche insists that his side is still on track to gain promotion back to the Premier League at the first attempt come May.
Dyche has this week stated that The Clarets are now in their healthiest financial position for the last 3 years and transfer funds have been made available for him to improve the quality of the squad during the January transfer window. Whilst there is not a massive sum of money to spend, Dyche has lined up some potential transfer targets to bring to Turf Moor to add quality to the squad.
The Burnley Manager had a successful summer transfer window which saw the arrival of marquee signing Andre Gray and the likes of Matty Lowton and Rouwen Hennings sign on at Turf Moor and Dyche is aiming to bring in that same level of quality in January.
