Terriers in meltdown – Hudderfield fans on Twitter

Away from home and 3-0 down on the half hour is not a good place to be. That’s what Huddersfield Town fans are facing at this very moment as they trail Brentford by a quick-fire trio of goals.

As the half time break approaches, goals from Sergi Canos (5′), Lasse Vibe (21′) and Alan Judge (31′) have the Terriers looking more like the terrorised as they blatantly fail to deal with the attacking threat posed by their London opponents. Brentford have had six total shots with all six being on target against a lacklustre performance by Town who haven’t registered a shot at all.

David Wagner arrived in West Yorkshire from Dusseldorf promising a german-syle of ‘gegen fußball’; a more pressing and high-tempo brand of football than what English spectators are accustomed to. What’s more ‘pressing’ for the moment is how the Yorkshire side are going to stem the tide in the second half because a similar performance to the first half will see more disgruntled Huddersfield fans than there are already venting on Twitter.
