Manchester City midfielder near Football League move

George Glendon, Manchester City youth starlet, is on the verge of signing for a Sky Bet Championship or League One side, according to HITC Sport.

Son of former Man City midfielder Kevin Glendon, George grew up a Blues season ticket holder, and will live every boy’s dream as he is expected to one day lead City as club captain.

Glendon has been a prevalent and crucial member of City’s  development squad, captaining the side on multiple occasions and leading them to success in both the countless competitions and invitationals worldwide

City feel as if the time is right to send the tireless maestro on loan, and all though rumours of him signing for sister club NYCFC have surfaced, it seems as if the Manchester born midfielder will remain in England, playing in either the second or third tier of the Football League.

It has been reported that “a number” of clubs are interested in securing his services, although they at the moment remain anonymous, but a deal for Glendon should be going through in January.

The deal will most likely see the 19-year-old sign for a club on-loan, presumably until the end of the season.
