Hasselbaink agrees deal to become QPR boss

Burton Albion manager Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink has agreed a deal to become manager of Championship side Queens Park Rangers, according to West London Sport.

The London club made the approach to speak with Hasselbaink on Wednesday morning as they look for a replacement for Chris Ramsey, who left the club at the start of November.

Neil Warnock and Kevin Blackwell have been in charge of first-team affairs whilst the search for a new man was in place, and managed to secure three points in the 1-0 victory against Leeds United last weekend.

Burton Albion are enjoying a fantastic season in League One following their promotion from League Two last season. Their latest victory came in the 2-1 result against Millwall on Tuesday evening, three points that pushed them back into first place in the league.

Despite having aims for promotion back to the Premier League this season, Queens Park Rangers find themselves sitting in 12th place in the Sky Bet Championship after 18 games. They are five points off sixth-placed Birmingham City.

Hasselbaink will bring David Oldfield in at QPR as his assistant manager. Oldfield currently works under Hasselbaink in the same role at Burton Albion.
