QPR midfielder may return to Holland

QPR midfielder Leroy Fer may return to his native Holland, according to Get West London

Reports in Holland have stated that Fer may return to his first club Feyenoord on a loan deal in January.

Fer started his career at the Dutch club and made over 100 appearances for them before arriving to ply his trade in England via FC Twente. He has 11 international caps for Holland.

But, it is believed that any move back to the Rotterdam club will depend on their ability to offload midfield Tonny Vilhena.

He signed for The R’s for £8million from Norwich City and was a regular last season, as they were relegated from the top flight.

However, he has only made eight appearances this season and has failed to make too much of an impact in the second tier.

Fer was sent off late in Friday nights Championship defeat to high flying Middlesborough and as a result, will miss The R’s next game, at home to Leeds on Saturday.

Rangers have struggled so far in the Championship this season and dismissed manager Chris Ramsey, with Neil Warnock taking over on an interim basis.

They currently lie 15th in the division after 17 games and are still looking for a new boss on a permanent basis.
