Bradford sign Bowery on loan

Bradford City have completed the loan signing of Jordan Bowery from South Yorkshire rivals Rotherham United, the club have confirmed

Bowery completed his loan deal at the clubs Apperley Bridge training ground this morning and will stay on loan at The Bantams until January 2nd.

The 6 ft 1″ 24 year old has been brought in as cover for injured target man James Hanson, who could miss the next few weeks due to ligament damage.

Bowery could feature for Bradford in their game against Scunthorpe United at Glanford Park tomorrow.

He has featured eight times for Rotherham this season and scored five goals in 36 games for The Millers last season as they survived in the second tier.

He came through the youth ranks at Chesterfield, before his form there earned him a move to Premier League Aston Villa.

The striker went on to make 22 appearances for Villa over two years before joining Rotherham for a club record fee in the summer of 2014.

Bradford endured a slow start to the season but have been on a great run of form which sees them unbeaten in eight games and up to seventh in Sky Bet League One.
