Millwall have given the Boxing Day sack to their manager Steve Lomas following their third defeat on the spin, a heavy 4-0 loss to Watford.

Lomas had only been in charge at the New Den since June, leaving St. Johnstone in the Scottish premier to take charge at the Championship club.

Millwall are currently 20th in the Championship with 21 points from 22 games.  Reserve team coach Neil Harris and academy director Scott Fitzgerald, both ex-Lions players themselves, have been placed in temporary charge of team affairs.
