Fulham, Fulham to appoint boss before next game

Fulham to appoint boss before next game

Fulham want to appoint a new manager before their next game, according to a report.

The club are currently searching for a new boss to replace Kit Symons, who was sacked at the weekend after the home defeat to Birmingham City.  Whoever they choose as their new boss will come in sooner rather than later, with an appointment to be made before Fulham’s game against MK Dons.

Alan Curbishley is currently in charge of first-team training at Fulham and has refused to rule himself out of going for the job.  He said: “It’s up to other people. They need to think about what kind of manager they want.

“It is an attractive job and I’m sure there are going to be lots of people who will be applying.”

The club’s shortlist reportedly includes former Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson and current Burton Albion boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.  Paul Lambert’s name has also been mentioned but he has today agreed a deal with Blackburn Rovers, according to reports.
