BREAKING: Chris Powell sacked by Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield Town have parted company with manager Chris Powell, the club’s official Twitter account have confirmed.

During his spell in charge of Town, where he joined in September 2014, Powell has managed 57 games. Out of those 57, Huddersfield have won 15, drawn 20 and lost 22.

The Terriers currently sit in 18th place in the Sky Bet Championship, their last result was the 2-2 draw to Reading on Tuesday night. Their last win came on October 20th, where goals from Nakhi Wells and Jamie Paterson secured the three points in a 2-0 win against MK Dons. Town have only managed to secure three league wins this season.

This poor start to the season has ultimately cost Powell his job at the West Yorkshire outfit, who’s next game is the local derby against Leeds United on Saturday afternoon.
