Derby County scorer says “there’s more to come”!

Derby County central defender Richard Keogh promises there’s “more to come”, after scoring against Rotherham in the 3-0 win on Saturday, according to the official Derby County site.

Republic of Ireland international Keogh scored his first goal of the season, and first since scoring against Blackpool in December 2013. The former skipper admits he had been agonisingly close in recent games, and feels he’s been threatening to score for a long time. Keogh went on to describe his goal as the “icing on the cake”, alongside the win and clean sheet.

Derby County currently sit 5th in the Championship ahead of hosting 12th- placed Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday night. The Rams have won seven and drawn two of their last nine league fixtures and will be looking to consolidate their place in the top 5 ahead of Friday night’s local derby against the hapless Nottingham Forest.

Richard Keogh is currently enjoying a resurgence of form, and having come in for criticism towards the end of last season, will be basking in the current adulation from the masses of Rams fans showing their appreciation towards him at the iPro and on supporter message boards.

Andi Weimann and Jacob Butterfield, both signed in the previous transfer window, were the other goal scorers for Paul Clement’s in-form team.
