Brentford receive help from unlikely source in new manager search

Brentford are currently searching for a new manager, with current head coach Lee Carsley helping the club in their quest, according to a report by The Sun.

Brentford sacked Marinus Dijkhuizen last month after only nine games in charge, leaving the club without a boss and 19th in the Championship table.

The club then appointed Lee Carsley as their new head coach, as he was promoted from his job with Brentford’s Development Squad to the first team.

Carsely however only wants the job short-term, specifically until the end of the season and so the club have put together a recruitment team to try and find Brentford a new, permanent manager.  Lee Carsley is one of the people helping the search with this team.

It is believed that Brentford are looking for a manager who is going to fit in with their European-style management system, something that former boss Mark Warburton did not do.
