Despite feeling a Bilel Mohsni punch in the end of season playoff game, that was Lee Erwin’s last big hit. Brought to Leeds as a ‘development’ project, the ex-Motherwell striker has been scoring for the Under-21 Development Squad – this prompting a move to League One Bury on a month’s loan.
The 21-year old, yet to make his first team debut for the Whites, has seen the bench five times for Leeds but now gets the chance to get some first team games under his belt. His performances caught the eye in the Under-21s and have resulted in him netting three goals in five appearances, including two in his last outing against QPR’s Under-21 side. After this game, the young Scot told the Yorkshire Post that a loan move would be one way that he’d consider trying to break into the Leeds United first team proper. Speaking after the QPR game, Erwin said, “I’d enjoy getting out on loan and getting to play first-team football,” something that has now happened with his 28-day loan to Bury.
Many Leeds fans were pressing for Erwin to be considered for the first team squad so it will be interesting to see just how fans from both teams have viewed the loan arrangement.

Not sure why we need another striker, but Lee Erwin is meant to be pretty good. Can he play at centre half as well? #buryfc

Leeds fans are pretty much in agreement that this is a good move bother for club and player. However, what do you think about this, good move or not?
