Nottingham Forest interested in Peterborough striker

Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Peterborough striker Lee Angol, according to a report by The Sun.

It is believed that Forest were interested in Angol, 21, last season when he was at Luton and have now renewed their interest following his move to Peterborough.

Angol began his career with Tottenham Hotspur but left to join Wycombe Wanderers, where he made only three appearances.  After loans to Hendon, Maidenhead United and Boreham Wood, Angol joined Luton Town in 2014 on a free transfer.

Angol was again loaned to Boreham Wood, where he finished Conference South top scorer with 25 goals in 39 games.  Luton offered the striker a new contract but this was rejected.

Angol then joined Peterborough United and has been in great form so far this season, scoring 4 times in 5 appearances for the League 1 club.

This form has attracted interest from Nottingham Forest and they may move for the player in January, having missed out on signing Angol in the summer transfer window.
