QPR open to January move for Serie A midfielder

The Evening Standard believes that Championship club Queens Park Rangers will make a move for Ravel Morrison In January. He currently plays in Italy with Lazio, but is failing to make an impact.

QPR did look into the prospect of bringing the former West Ham United and Manchester United man to Loftus Road in August. However with news that the 22-year-old is finding life tough with the Italian giants could force manager Chris Ramsay to try and bring him back to the club.

Morrison had a brief loan spell with QPR at the end of the 2013/14 season, scoring six goals in 15 starts in the year QPR won the Championship Play-Off Final against Derby County at Wembley. Morrison certainly impressed during his time with the club and a potential reunion may not be too far away.

Sports Mole revealed that Lazio head coach Stefano Pioli recently told reporters that Morrison hasn’t adapted to life in a different country,

“He has struggled. He has to work harder for the team. He’s had a niggling injury and he still doesn’t speak a word of Italian. This has slowed his development and his integration in the squad.”

So far this season Morrison has made brief substitute appearances against Bayer Leverkusen in a Champions League qualification game, versus Juventus in the Italian Super Cup and half of the heavy defeat to Chievo in the league. A change of scenery and a move back to London could potentially bring out the best in Morrison once again.
