Plymouth suffer McHugh blow

Plymouth Argyle defender, Carl McHugh is to face a spell on the sidelines BBC Sport has reported. McHugh suffered a hamstring injury in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Bristol Rovers.

The 22-year-old defender is set for a period out of action as he recovers from the injury that forced him off after 50 minutes.

Plymouth boss, Derek Adams, said: “It’s a bad one, it looks like he could be out for a wee while.

“When he went up for the ball he pulled his hamstring, so we’ll see this week what the diagnosis is.”

Argyle have started the season in fine form but conceded a late penalty having taken the lead themselves in the 85th minute.

Adams was frustrated with Rovers come back and believes his side should have held on better.

He said: “I think we lost two points, we had the win in our grasp, we had four minutes to go and we could have won the game.

“But that’s the nature of of the business when you’re ahead and we should have managed it better”

The draw was Argyle’s first of the campaign and the Pilgrims lie 3rd in the table after eight matches.
