Bowyer believes results will soon match performances

Blackburn Rovers manager Gary Bowyer insists that his team will eventually get the results that their performances warrant. Speaking to official club website before tonight’s trip to Queens Park Rangers, Bowyer believes a change in fortunes isn’t far away.

Sunday’s defeat to Fulham in front of the Sky Sports camera saw them once again create a hatful of chances on goal, only to fall to a 2-1 loss. Much of the aftermath from that game revolved around goal-line technology, after Scott Dann saw a goal which should’ve been allowed not given. Nevertheless, Bowyer believes the team can take confidence from that game into the Loftus Road encounter this evening,

“The way we finished in the second half against Fulham, the players came in with loads of positives to take into the game on Wednesday.

Overall we were the dominant team and the feedback that we had, not just from people inside the club, but outside the club about our performance was very good.

We’ve created something like 70-odd chances in four games, so we’ve got to keep that belief and that confidence and be a little bit more ruthless and take our chances.”

Rovers head into tonight’s game with doubts surrounding three member of their squad. Jason Lowe, Chris Brown and Chris Taylor all remain doubts and are expected to miss out.

Blackburn have a very positive record against QPR in recent times, especially at Loftus Road. QPR have only won one of the last 13 league meetings, with Blackburn winning seven of those. Bowyer’s men have also kept four clean sheets in their last six league encounters at Loftus Road. With Jordan Rhodes now back amongst the goals, perhaps Blackburn are slowly getting into their stride after a slow start.
