Ipswich fans react on Twitter to 5-1 defeat against Reading

In one of the most anticipated clashes of the weekend, Reading ran out 5-1 winners against Ipswich in Friday night’s televised clash.

Two teams who will look to be towards the top end of the table come may. Ipswich, lead by manager Mick McCarthy, finished in 6th place last season and lost out in the play-off semi final to eventual winners Norwich. Reading are a different story, despite a 19th placed finish in the last campaign, a summer of strengthening the squad means they can look towards the other end of the table this season.

It was a rare heavy defeat for McCarthy’s men at Madejski Stadium on Friday night. Orlando Sa opened the scoring in the 7th minute before Freddie Sears drew the visitors level just four minutes later. In the 14th minute, it was Orlando Sa again who gave his side the go-ahead goal before second-half goals from Nick Blackman, Oliver Norwood and another from Sa to complete his hat-trick gave Reading the 5-1 victory.

Unhappy with their sides performance, Ipswich fans took to Twitter to voice their opinions on the match:
