Hull midfielder will return against promotion rivals

Hull midfielder Jake Livermore has set the date for his first team return, according to a report today.

The player has identified the home game against Ipswich, who are challenging Hull for promotion, as the match in which he will make his return.  The game takes place on October 20.

Livermore had been suspended since April after failing a drugs test and testing positive for cocaine.  However it was reported yesterday that he will not face a ban from the game due to personal issues around the time of the failed drugs test.

Livermore initially signed for Hull on loan in 2013 before making his move to the KC Stadium permanent the following summer for a fee of around £8 million, reportedly breaking Hull’s transfer record.

The midfielder will now be looking to avoid the spotlight of the media and get back to playing football after what has been a very testing time for him and his family.
