Bolton to move for Norwich striker

According to a report, Bolton boss Neil Lennon is interested in signing Norwich striker Kyle Lafferty on loan.

The news comes only days after Lafferty himself said he would reject any loan moves away from Carrow Road in order to prove his worth to Norwich boss Alex Neil.  Lafferty said he wished to fight for his Norwich career and shun the “easy option” of a loan move.

However, Bolton boss Lennon has admitted that he may be priced out of a move for the Northern Ireland international.  Lennon said: “Can I bring him here? Probably no.  It’s a question of finance.”

“I like Kyle as a player.  He can be a bit streaky as a player but he probably just needs an arm around him.”

The loan signing of Lafferty would be a welcome boost for Bolton who have made a poor start to the season and currently sit in the relegation zone, without a win in their first five games.
